18? 21? Why not 16?

More RAAAAAAAAAAGE about being a teen!

Why's the age of alcohol purchase/cigarette purchase/consent so high in the USA? It's not in England or many other places for that matter? If I want to destroy my body for a mild and short-lived high, I should be allowed to whenever I want to.

Short one this time, kiddies.

  1. Why isn't it that way in England? How is American culture different from other European countries' history/customs in that respect, and what about those differences do you think are worth criticizing, if any? What goals does American law try to achieve with those restrictions?

  2. To go with a short blog, I have a short comment. I get where the governments coming from your brain isn't developed all that stuff, but if you can't buy a drink you shouldn't have to fight in a war.
